Broadcast producers can do a variety of programs such as commercials, series, segments and long running programs. They can start out in small networks and later on climb up to work for bigger broadcasting stations. Their main task is to oversee the production of a segment from the schedules of tapings up to the airing of the segment. They also coordinate with a lot of technical staff to make sure specifications are met and the other aspects of broadcasting excellence are delivered. It is normal for a producer to move from one station to another until he or she finds the niche perfect for his or her abilities and passion.
