A lot of corporations have changed the job title of a secretary to an administrative assistant. Though a lot of administrative assistant have more duties as the change in position name came, they still do clerical and mundane jobs to keep the front office of his or her boss organized and welcoming. Writing reports, keeping track of schedules and managing the financial activities are still part of the core duties of an administrative assistant.
